I think what you're describing is absolutely possible, but really doesn't have a lot of bearing on the case. The fact that a little bit of marijuana was in his system should not be involved in any kind of reasonable argument for speculating on how he acted. But as someone below said, if they had found PCP, meth or what have you, the whole situation would be totally different.

Hey all,
We're in the flowering stage of our AK, about a month in. Two weeks ago, we noticed the leaves were curling and feel kind of brittle. My first guess was Verticillium wilt (because it seemed to recover somewhat when it was dark) or poor air circulation. We added more fans and cut a leaf/stem off to look for the telltale brownness, but I saw none. I flushed the plant a few days ago, that didn't help. We sprayed it with serenade and that didn't help. Last night I did a Ph test off the RO water and it was ~6.5. Here are some other things:
-It's watered every other day (1 gallon) with 4 teaspoons of BioThrive and two teaspoons of Liquid KoolBloom included. Yes, we do make sure to correct the Ph level. Every time we water it, the soil is very dry, so I don't expect it's overwatering.
-Indoor, grown under 400w HPS with reflective surfaces inside. Lights go on at night to save money and because of night-time temperature fluctuations. Temp is usually between 73 and 81, used to get as high as 87 since we didn't have enough fans.

The soil is always really dry before watering. If anything, we thought we were under watering it. I'm not sure that's the problem. I added more pictures.
